It's just a Twitter clone, that charges users for membership, instead of monetizing them through ads or selling their data. A lot of people think that will lead to a better service, so it got a lot of hype recently.

So first you say these display got "horrible image persistence problems" and then you say "you wouldn't notice it just like that". So can't be that big of a problem? I have one with a LG panel, and the only time I noticed some ghosting is w

GIMP, tried out a lot of image editors and imho it goes like this: Photoshop > GIMP > Elements > Pixelmator. Pixelmator has a really nice UI, but it's lacking features left and right. Photoshop is still the nicest, especially fo

I think what they mean is, the datacenters actually running Watson would consume too much power. A mobile app with millions of users would require many many instances of Watson running, so 10 racks of servers per instance doesn't sound feas

No please don't think like that. Assange even said today he would agree to go to Sweden, if they promise to not send him to the U.S. He's terrible afraid of being send to the U.S, and rightly so. The U.S. repeatedly demonstrated, that when

So they are adding 176px to the height of the display? Any idea why they would do that? Apple usually goes for something new exciting, when introducing new products. "We made the iPhone5 taller and added a few pixels on top, so it can displ

Well the truth is most people are pretty stupid in that regard. - they don't want to pay $500-$600 upfront, so they rather go with a contract, even though in the end they pay more. - they can't be bothered to buy a phone separate and do the

DateTime code bugs happen all the time, there are so much things to consider and it's hard to test, because the problem conditions might not occur for years to come. Remember this? http://news.cnet.com/new-years-hangover-for-zune-users/ (

I don't think there was a rational motive behind this, or we would have heard about it by now. What the scary truth seems to be is, that these individuals are in a severely distorted state of perception, in which the killing of people becom

That's a real flaw, a old 15" MBP with 1680x1050 would practically be a better choice. This is just dumb, that a 2880x1800 display is worse than a 1680x1050 display because of the way the software handles these resolutions. Unless I'm missi
