SUSE does not offer support for RHEL but for their own RHEL clone (SLL, formerly and still internally SLES ES). This product has existed for a long long time.

Stability-wise, it's more like this: * openSUSE Factory is comparable to Fedora Rawhide (upstream "development" rolling release); * openSUSE Tumbleweed is comparable to Fedora * openSUSE Leap is comparable to CentOS Stream *

Red Hat wouldn't even care to identify the user: Rocky Linux, the Rocky Enterprise Linux Foundation, CIQ, etc would be brought to trial for accepting those sources.

No, it's not. Alma was founded by CloudLinux, which is a Russian company with a Russian owner, mostly Russian and Eastern Europe developers and fake US address. As of today, CloudLinux still plays a critical role in Alma.

AFAIK Actually Portable Executables produced by Cosmopolitan run on bare metal too so that would make Blink a type 1 hypervisor.

Paint.NET used to be open source until a bunch of scammers started selling "relabeled" versions of it, misleading users.

Stop repeating the mantra. Prostitution has existed for millennia. It's not going to change. You can help to democratize it (i. e. independent sex workers) or you can help the big bad guys (by denying independent sex workers access to

After the panic, I really doubt they can survive Monday. First thing every customer will do if they reopen the bank "as a normal business day" is transfer out all their funds, which will make the bank fail again. I'm afraid i

No, it wouldn't be. If those "diverse people" want to be at FOSDEM, they will need to follow the same rules everybody follows.

I have organized devrooms at FOSDEM for almost 15 years. That thing about "lack of diversity" is bullshit, plain and simple. If women, or gays, or trans, or people with disabilities, don't submit talks, then they will not get

I would only trust my PDFs to Adobe, Microsoft, AWS, etc: the big players, very well-known, that are not going to use the content of the PDFs against me. And of course I'd rather use something that runs completely on my laptop.

Stupid move. No wonder gas prices are up. Also, increases our dependency on not-so-conscious banks, which will always be there, lending money at a higher interest rate because they know others will not lend.

It's too cheap. Kay needs to increase prices by at least an order of magnitude, and go per-application subscribing. An all-you-can-develop subscription should be at least 25K,if not more.

The whole point would be to rebuild Debian (or the subset you need) and package everything as RPMs, i. e. do not use apt, dpkg, etc but yum/dnf, rpm, etc.

You can install RPMs on Debian but most probably you will run into filesystem-level conflicts with DEB packages. But if you are rebuilding your own Debian-based distro, nothing prevents you from packaging everything into RPMs instead of DEB

So what? China will have its own ASML-like machines in a few years. Kiss Taiwan goodbye that day. Truth is China is the new owner of the world. Outsourcing manufacturing, electronics, etc made us too dependent on China and now we are screwe

Faster, leaner, better compatibility with Microsoft Office files. Just try it. The only reason I still keep a LibreOffice installation around is LibreOffice Base: WPS Office does not provide a Microsoft Access equivalent.
