Genuinely curious. Are there any examples, where a worthy achievement was made by a nice, agreeable, likeable person? Each achiever story I recall, is accompanied by how asshole the person is/was, to a set of folks.

Austrian response: refuse Russian planes to land in Austria, which use Russian or Belarusian airspace. Argument: unsafe for Austria, if flights come via these airspaces..

(digress continued) Your 10 yr old post is spot on and refreshing, as it acknowledges reality. That said, one would be surprised at how much non engineering exists also in “product companies”.

GC CEO, Kurian has enterprise sales genetics. Entire exec leadership he put in place, comes from SAP Oracle-esque sphere. They speak enterprise, even with startups. GCP‘s primary target and starting point is enterprise. OP‘s experience is n

Teams is the new Skype > everyone has Teams for free Prevalent sentiment at my workplace: Teams integrates well for outlook meetings, but it‘s a CPU hog, has crappy chat UI. It paralyzes work to the extent, that I only prefer to use Slac

I’d say Amazon even has more value from CCC (and the likes) by reverse picking data on “acceptable price”, which is avg. price watch set by watchers.

I find Amazon’s acceptance of CCC interesting. If they see value in CCC, why not natively add the feature themselves? If price history is made transparent, consumers also don’t have trust issues.

I use(d) CCC pretty frequently. More than a year back (am vague when precisely), they had >month long downtime due to issue with corrupt backups. I then found keepa.com which has been good, if not better than CCC.
