The linked article does a much better job of explaining the problem. Just read this one: https://idea.popcount.org/2014-04-03-bind-before-connect/

The smartphone is a concept, a portable computer with Internet connectivity and a touch screen as a primary mode of interaction. I don't think we should limit our thinking to it's actual form. The key bit is the portable, connecte

Yes basically this is the main reason. I could change it but I have better things to do. Also my www recommendation is for commercial websites who tend to have multiple subdomains, more traffic with HA requirements, and a more complex setup

In both cases there is a DB somewhere storing the list. The difference is that with the blacklist the server can keep an in-memory cache because it's so small. Sessions don't need to be invalidated atomically so the blacklist can

On the other hand, since the target users are developers, they are in a good position to fix these newline-containing filenames. Even if they are POSIX compliant they shouldn't be encouraged :)

There is a big opportunity for Homebrew Cask[1]. It's already a fully-fledged app catalog. It's only missing a GUI for normal people to use it. [1]: https://caskroom.github.io/

The issue is that ICANN shouldn't have to verify that information. As a customer I only want to interact with my registrar. Why do I even have to talk to ICANN? My registrar can then interact with ICANN if necessary.

On top of what peter_mcrae said, CSP[1] is a way to sandbox the page in modern browsers. But because GTM basically requires "root" access on the page it makes that sandboxing model useless. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org

Google Tag Manager is not very practical in cases where you want a secure website. It renders CSP useless because it requires all sorts of permissions like 'self' on scripts and CSS. It's good to have on the marketing webpage

To make this project viable they would have to re-build it around WebAssembly[1] instead. NaCl was conceived before WebAssembly emerged as the standard for binary executables for the web and is now in maintenance mode. [1] http://

This would be solved if the "select" keyword was also working on I/O objects. It could gain special io.ReadReady and io.WriteReady channels that return a boolean. This would also simplify most of the code that tries to pull e
