As a workaround it's possible to show them on the strip: System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Press Fn Key to: Show F1, F2, etc Keys

As a workaround it's possible to show them on the strip:
System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Press Fn Key to: Show F1, F2, etc Keys
- swanandp 10y agoEven better, System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Function Keys; and select the app in which you want the function keys to show up by default. e.g. IntelliJ Idea.
