Promote tools that are compatible across clouds. The biggest contender is Kubernetes right now because Google is behind it. Anyone who adopts it is in a better position to move off of Amazon. Google has a better infrastructure and pricing but lags behind in terms of capabilities so that's their strategy. The worst thing you could do is use Amazon Lambda. Pretty soon the platform will become the application. It ties all the Amazon product in a big ball of vendor lock-in.
