Yes you did. You posted it as evidence of this statement you made: >> However everyone agrees that Apple created a walled garden which is hard to escape. Apple agrees it’s closed in some ways. Far from ‘everyone’ thinks it’s hard t

I’m not defending Apple. I’m rebutting the ridiculous idea that what is printed in the Guardian is what ‘everybody agrees’.

It remains to be seen how much the promise of upgradability turns into a reality. I typically buy replace my laptops or desktops after around 6 years. That is a long time to expect things to remain compatible with a chassis.

‘Tax law’ is not a historical period, nor is it evidence of a preference for quantification in general. Given your apparent desire to be logical about this, it seems almost absurd that you would give this answer.

Sure but the reasonings don’t support the opposing claim, and that’s all that matters for this purpose. I don’t need to prove that we don’t have a built in tendency, only, that there is no proof that we do.

Just because something is on Wikipedia doesn’t mean ‘everyone agrees with it. You can’t seriously believe this. Are you really trying to claim people are buying Apple watches they can’t use because they don’t have an iPhone? That doesn’t s

Apple Maps is world class and better than Google maps in many ways now . If Apple learned from their launch of Maps it should be to wait until it’s ready. Of course Google didn’t give them a choice in the case of Maps.

So the assumption is that Apple would run Ads against search? There is a good chance that if Apple did have a search engine it would be Ad free, which might still depress prices of Google ads, but it would also decrease effectiveness of tho

Can you think of a historical period in the distant part where there is evidence of a preference for quantification? It seem like you are simply assuming that was present.

Sure, but you’re forgetting the point of this. You are trying to claim that psychological addiction isn’t as real as physiological addiction, not just for alcohol . It’s clear that you care a lot about alcoholics with DT’s. What isn’t clea

True, but it’s not impossible to design a processor that is much faster at running high level code in certain languages a lot faster than another processor that is roughly equivalent at running low level code.

How many alcoholics suffer DT? Clearly not most. Most people just go to a support group and try to abstain, and they do not die. If deaths from DT were more than a corner case, then AA would be be considered to be a suicide pact.

Why does it have to be untreated? That seems like a bizarre criterion. It’s much easier to treat DTs than it is to treat a psychological addiction.
