It does seem pretty odd. As a UK citizen, am I meant to feel proud of the existence of ARM for some reason? And presumably now I'm no longer allowed to use ARM chips because they've betrayed 'us'?

What do people consider an average work week? I do 37.5hrs religiously and have never had a problem. A good fraction of developers at head office do 30-32hrs (4 days/wk).

Didn't all Sun webcams used to have little irises that you could close on them? It seems like a sensible precaution: makes it less likely I'll accidentally log into a company conference call in my dressing gown with my camera enab

I'd guess that Google switching the Android IDE from Eclipse to IntelliJ had a pretty big effect on usage numbers.

Given how many smartphones with broken screens I see, it seems like a case is pretty much essential these days, whatever the phone is coated in. Completely anecdotal, of course, but I'd guess something like 20% of phones I see have a c

I don't think those are all that true of software in general. Most software isn't particularly new: how many "Yet Another CRUD app" projects are there? And with software you can ship a percentage of the features and ad

It definitely seems like there's a lack of intermediate-to-advanced Haskell books. This looks like it contains a lot of canonical Haskell coding examples and might be useful: any Haskell experts that can weigh in? The other Packt Haske

The removal of colour from the icons in the Finder sidebar is the change that feels the most clearly anti-usability to me. It clearly makes the items harder to distinguish and has no benefits that I can see apart from fitting in with the fl

I guess because in skewing the design to prevent those things, it makes it less good at actually being a bench. It's less comfortable, you can't lean back on it and it's extremely ugly. Whether that's a worthwhile trade-

There are going to be a lot of unhappy Leave voters if that happens, though. The main thrust of the Leave campaign seemed to be about immigration and controlling our borders.
