I thought pressure of the gas as ~114 bar, which (brain whirring sounds) is much less than 2,800 PSI. MS's calculator makes it ~1,650 PSI I could be wrong.

I misinterpreted it because there's a rash of people who post throwaway dismissive stuff (always without any justification) and yours looked exactly like that. So, my apologies. I'd suggest a mention of your personal experience wo

(Edited the following) I'm not talking about OOP. Meyer was hard on pre and postconditions (which were massively oversold), but these were functionally no more than assertions. He had holes in his object system. He had holes in other p

I didn't like it. It was too much theory based without enough recognition of practice. I and a very small company used it ~25 years ago. It wasn't good enough & we eventually dumped it. I can't give you reasons why as it

I did some reading on unum a while back, inc. Kahan's criticisms. There's another side. There's a vid on youtube with Kahan and Gustafson talking over it. Kahan goes in like a wolf onto a lamb, much to gustafson's shock

Obviously you need to move units in wesnoth, it's the level of detail you had to put in on some screens that put me off - micromanagement. Never heard of Globulation (& Globulation2 it seems) but they appear to be not turn based bu

Yeah, tried it. Every move has to be given explicitly, just a little jump each time, again and again. It got mega frustrating if you had more than a few PCs so I got so far into it then gave up. Edit: I think I misremember. You can set a wa

I'd love to play something like this (given time... always short these days) but all these seem to be real-time (why?). I just prefer turn-based. Any suggestions?

I like your attitude, so... why not contribute! Spend a long time writing a good quality book (like my father did, he wrote several, years of work went into each) then give it away for free. See how it feels.

Sounds nuts. Does anyone know how much power a 32GB DIMM draws? How much would a fully populated 64-bit address space therefore pull? Edit, if a 4GB (32-bits used) DRAMM pulls 1 watt, the rest of the memory space is 32 bit = 4E9 so your mem

If you impose structure on text you can do stuff like org-mode. If you allow networking, you can do emails like gnus. If you allow pictures and HTML parsing, you can do a web browser like eww. I guess you don't have to add too much to

Only consistent 'disaster' I get from emacs is it freezes up totally in low memory conditions. I haven't had time to repro + report this yet. If you can repeat a crash, please do report it.
