I don't have any leads for you, but I wish you luck. Many here are going to tell you to not mention "that you have good taste." Don't listen to them -- I thought that was a nice touch and it made me smile.

I know its a tired and overused suggestion - but if you can potentially join an early stage company (early stage as in: you are one of the first three or four devs), you'll get the opportunity to see which processes work and which do n

Disagree hard here. Better to increase prices less often but with a strong justification. "Here's why we're raising our prices by 15%" - the alternative yearly increase will be death by a million papercuts: "You are

I remember going out to Oakland for work and having to step over the bodies of people who were passed out from taking drugs (heroin and/or alcohol, I presume?). Let me repeat that: I had to navigate the sidewalk by stepping over the bo

I couldn't cringe harder while reading this. The author desperately wants to emulate Matt Damon's character in Good Will Hunting, during that bar scene. I got a degree entirely unrelated to software engineering. If an interviewer

What she would likely call self-preservation, I find to be quite selfish. She uprooted her children, she tore down her marriage, because she wanted to be more free? Did she ever consider discussing with her husband what changes could be mad

I remember in high school "not wanting to go" to class. I think I was wrongly interpreting the feeling of thinking I wouldn't succeed with not wanting to participate. When I did end up participating, attending class regular

Sort of unrelated: The picture of the monitor rotated 22 degrees contains a sticky note with what appears to be some sort of token/key/password.

The number of times that I use nicotine. I'm drawing down from constant use, and now reserve it just for a small treat before bed. I hope to soon cut nicotine out entirely. The percentage of the week that I make it to the gym. My goal

Hi Spenser! Congratulations by the way to you and your team. I've been working quietly on a project which I hope to turn into a product. When I speak with potential customers and users, they're very excited, but when I work with V

Sure, maybe. If your issue is with advertisting-as-propaganda, the Internet is going to seem like post-apocalyptic wasteland. I think the net utility of Rober's channel stands though, as I'd imagine that there are a number of kids

Something about the "real world" in this trailer was portrayed too cleanly and fleshy - my memory of the first two movies was that the "real world" was bland, flat, and empty, sterile.

Exactly. If you operate at caloric deficit (which can be achieved via caloric subsidies such as diet or exercise) you will lose weight. Even if your caloric deficit is achieved through processed junk, you'll still lose weight. Not a re

Nitpicking is pointless here, but the phrasing was immediately confusing to me. "US Adults are 42.4% obese" leads me to believe that all US adults are 42.4% of the way to becoming obese, where as in actuality it appears that 42.4%

From the article, it looks like future support for other IDEs is definitely possible: "Visual Studio Code is great. It’s the primary tool GitHub.com engineers use to interface with codespaces. But asking our Vim and Emacs users to comm

Maybe. I, uh, would be a little nonplussed if HL3 was announced a mobile game. I'd even go so far as to say that I'd be miffed.

I finished an MVP for my screensharing iOS yesterday. Shoot. I wonder what usage will look like for screensharing via FaceTime. It is super neat that they're releasing this alongside their FaceTime update.
