I'm not sure about structured sparsity, but for the weights sparsity in my experience going to around 50-70% of excluded weights (even with block sparsity - say 4x4) did not cause any noticeable degradation to training & quality at

Have you guys looked at using sparsification? It would probably require true re-training of the foundation model, to go at high sparse ratios (say 90% weights excluded), which could be done once on expensive GPU - but fine tuning such spar

fwiw, in ASR/speech transcription world, it looks reverse to me - in the past, there was lots of custom non-ML code & separate ML models for audio modeling and language modeling - but current SOTA ASRs are all e2e, and that's

The main limitation for such codecs is CPU/battery life - and I like how they sparsely applied ML in it here and there, combining it with classic approach (non-ML algos) to achieve better tradeoff of CPU vs quality. E.g. for better low

To validate your point, I think you need to modify my test and create a 1M elements array with 99% of zeros - then your sparse class will be way more efficient, also hiding the complexity of creating a compact sparse representation at the n

Hash tables are nice & all, and it's very convenient to use them, BUT I really regret how they create propensity for junior developers to use them even in cases where they are not really needed and more memory-efficient (and perf t

One note re this conclusion: > If developers can deliver playable experiences on the Switch, they likely can do so with a HD 530 too. The screen size (resolution) of Switch is very small, and that’s why Switch GPU can produce decently lo
