That's a problem where I live. If I want to buy USD to protect me from my country's currency inflationary trend, I have to fill up cases of green bills , and risk going to banks with stashes of pesos to change for usd. Or, I can

I started using Edge (in linux! My main desktop OS) due to its vertical tabs feature, which include grouping and side-by-side tab view. I know a lot of people consider it a sin, but I love it, it works great in Linux.

It's a matter of culture in outsourcing. I'm a CTO in Mexico and outsource to companies in Mexico (insource modality) and it is evident outsourcing people don't give a danm about the product . Why should they? They get pa

It's funny how this story has not that much traction because it is Azure ... if it was AWS, half of the internet would be in flames.

Someone from The Valley told me a couple (~8) of years ago that he didn't like the way SV startup culture had transformed. He argued that in the past, the culture of startups in the valley focused on innovation and disruption. VCs w

This so much. I've run Linux in all my desktop machines for 10+ years. When I was younger it was mainly due to ideology, but now I really don't care. Although most linux distros still have quirks (bluetooth issues, sleep/r

I'll say a "state granted monopoly" on distribution is pretty close to censorship. People are not Libres to distribute or use some bunch of text because the judicial arm of the government will prosecute them.

So, it is possible for execs to get jailtime in the US ... provided that they rob from other big companies. I wonder if negligence that kills people will result in something close for Boeing.

We need a new TVTorrents and EZTV equivalent site. We need some sort of distributed library with TOR like properties so that nobody can know who is ultimately storing the data. The amount of information that is being lost is outrageous.
