To me paracetamol works. Or at least worked, until I got addicted, so we're trying to switch to apranax, which acts terribly slowly (plus we added divascan as a generic migraine reducer). Now I'm at the point where doctors are tel

Did anyone think of Asimov's Foundation? I doubt that we will ever have "big enough data" for such a scale, but the socio-genetical ledger is a concept that may lead toward ubiquitous informational systems.

ko was a pretty sane view engine back in the day, though their constructor pattern advocated in the docs will drive mem usage through the roof... but still Best and Sanderson are great devs. If you like ko, be sure to check out vue, you wil

Oh boy, it's a bit far fetched if not downright cynical (or maybe I'm oversensitive and this was not meant to be a response to people who cry about minute long cached webpack compile times or megabytes of angular payloads). Fronte

Fortunately gnome 3 people fixed this by removing all mnemonics, so you can only use the arrow keys to navigate the window menu.

KDE is kinda okay now, but I just can't forget the nuclear clusterfuck called kde 4 back in the day. I kinda tolerate gnome 3 (despite its marvellously obvious flaws) for now and if I find it way too annoying, I'll rip it out and

Wouldn't cinnamon help? I know it's a bit of an overkill, but it's a gentler entry to the gnome3 world.

Except when they break horribly. Some of them modifies gsettings directly, so even if you remove it, you still have to clean them up manually.

A very important part I think is "the fool was not me". It's important to not to hear others and to take your time to analyze your thoughts (it's not an introvert thing of course). First you may want to experience your f

Indeed, you're right. Don't Adobe give you some "cloud storage" thing though? Fortunately now that we're using Figma I don't have to deal with the hundred pound gorilla called Photoshop.

Like Webstorm? I do feel that I get value for my money and with the yearly fee I get all the updates (which are important in the ever changing world of web development), but sometimes it still feels like protection racket.

This was A1, which came out in 2010. I've spent two years using it, I know its strengths and weaknesses, there are just better offers out there.

You probably are not aware how many (rather big) projects out there are still on angular 1 with no upgrade plan at all. Last time I turned down a job offer because of a similar scenario.

I had been recommended agomelatine (in the form of Valdoxan) for my anxiety, but it's primarily a sleep regulator. I'm not a doctor, don't know much about medicine, but maybe it's relevant, dunno.

I believe that the article is right about how the labels we create for ourselves start to define us, to many of us the real question is how to stop caring, or being afraid, or being anxious though. You can tell someone to stop fretting abou

Mobile twitter site is shit, but the real irony here? Twitter came up with the ui framework "Bootstrap" long ago and it was a game changer for responsive frontend layouts.

Mine was a pretty big player and we had to track times like crazy (two separate systems and a third opaque one, plus I did one for myself to cover my ass). But it really depends on the company, I worked in both scenarios. Sometimes I can&#x

Yes, I'm employed full time, work law requires 40hrs a week (afaik this is true for most countries) - right now we have time tracker cards for gate entry so the timesheet is accessible by the employer. It's not as uncommon as it s

If you want to spend time with family that sounds a bit harsh, plus 30 minute commute in a big city is way too optimistic, but of course you're right that free time will not evaporate magically.

Using IE11 with the emulator switched to IE5 I can assure you, it works in IE5. At least the main layout, no popup though :D Still equal parts scary and astonishing.

This thing is not exactly customizable. I couldn't care less for the huge image in the popup layer, scrollability and extra content would be much nicer.
