I think their parenthetical about a maquiladora on the border was the hedge on Mexico as zero supply chain risk. There is increased cartel risk. I follow a former White House geopolitical analyst after I met him at a conference. Here'

At first I didn't see the survey, and then suddenly there it was. I had probably 60 full seconds to see the website. Worst part is that it's a poor survey too. I couldn't even answer the final question because "Your co

Just out of curiousity, how would it get much worse? I wonder if it wouldn't make it better since a lot of the water seems to just be so salty it kills everything. Do you mean it'll just be drier and therefore suck more water out

At this point I'd probably just pay a 'sentiment analysis' company that I found off google that's been doing all this stuff for ~10 years. Lots of correlation models that need to be updated as people learn what gets logg

I'll bite on this one, I'm not sure Shang-Chi is deceptive. I've seen a lot of the Avengers movies but I am not an Avengers fan, I've just been around fans. Maybe I can't see the deception because I'm not priv

Heh, according to the lore, we only have -28 years, since Richard Night built it in 1994. Not sure we _need_ Night City in Northern California though. I'm a huge fan of the fictional Cyberpunk world though. :) https://cyberp

Why did this hit the front page? No comments, "Runs in Windows 7, 8, Vista and XP (SP3):" I'm confused, and I love everything in the title...

As a non-destructive method, a robot arm satellite actually seems pretty effective. If you destroy the satellite, a bunch of debris gets sent out in that orbit and others nearby, poisoning those orbits. I'm curious, what other non-des

Wasn't this the promise of 'prediction markets'? https://www.predictit.org (you can read promise as 'value prop' too, I don't know much about these, just that they exist and are a recent creation)

Nice response! I only went to Davis, I was definitely curious what someone living there currently thinks. I was fortunate to always live in Davis while I went there, but it definitely wasn't inexpensive!
