I live in Center City Philadelphia and we have many similar issues with public transit and transportation. I think it will be very interesting to see how the next few years play out both in NYC and here. I'm all for adding additional s

Exactly, which is why if this gets any traction I believe it'll be removed. Apple does not allow you to consume your own content on their platforms without a tax or at least a little roughing up.

How’d this get past app review? Apple has allowed zero emulators of any type on the App Store. I bet this gets crushed.

My guess is they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. Seems like the products they sell would be very useful to said companies. Wouldn't want to air any of their dirty laundry, it's PR not a reporting/review pers

100% this, Apple wants complete control over the distribution and tooling used on their platforms. While it does provide advantages for their hardware development I think it just ties back to them wanting 30% of any application or gaming re

Most of these are solved problems on the "server" end, but make sure however you play your content is beefy enough. Can't speak for Jellyfin, but Plex effectively can't "Cast" in a meaningful way. Invest in an

What I meant is what would prevent IBM or other large corporation from acquiring them as well?

Given my experience, RHEL is a favorite among enterprise environments. As such IBM will continue to pursue a strategy that forces people into that business funnel. They do not care who falls out of it, the ecosystem will only become more cl

That’s the disconnect I also experience. Working with multiple different organizations they either . 1. Use Docker Compose and have no container strategy 2. Have a container team and an orchestration platform. Not many organizations operate

IMO this is lowering the barrier of entry to newbies. I work in this space and often users coming out of boot camps that want to set up their own labs for learning have a steep learning curve. Such is the difficulty with entering cybersecur

I think people fail to recognize how much of everything now is an internet connected computer. This was true at McDonald’s 15 years ago. A bunch of Windows XP embedded machines at various stations(Fries, Salads, Sandwiches, Desserts) gettin

Maybe it's just the area. I'm in the Philly suburbs and while I love it here I cannot express how little people travel. Even going downtown is a "big deal" if you've grown up to believe either, 1. Cities are awful d

This has happened before, they don't end up killing the air. Often when the new "base" iPad has a significant improvement in some way it comes in at a higher price tier and the previous generation sticks around. The new base

If it's open source you can compile and install from Xcode I believe but the 7 day limit still exists.

This is so great in theory, too bad if you can only install these via the AltStore and if you’re away from your Mac for 7 days the AltStore and all those apps stop working.

I didn’t get that involved but was told it wasn’t a matter of cost. There were very limited hookups that could be moved slightly for the sinks. Bathrooms could not be moved or modified in any way. I assume it’s a limit on the overall buildi

I learned this when my company leased the floor of a big office building in Philly. You can do almost anything you want, except for with plumbing. Especially bathrooms. Despite having almost 150 desks there is a limit of 3 sinks, 6 stalls,

So with this what games actually support Vulkan 1.2 and ARM processors? Maybe there's a version of Quake that could run but I'm wondering what would really work outside of just tech demos and benchmarks.

What was your experience like and where did it lead you? For me it was part of the wake up call that showed me to the door. Being OTP for 14 Stores and GM for 1 was what pushed me over the edge.
