HDR/SDR Tone mapping has long been the bane of hardware transcoding for Plex. Even when it "kinda works" which is Nvidia on Linux only it kills my GTX 1650 in RAM and compute required. Normally NVENC can handle 3 4k Streams o

In my previous experience with Kaseya in the MSP space they’re just out to consume any relevant product, integrate it into their platform and run up the rates. They’ve gone on an M&A rampage in the past 10 years and have no signs of sto

I'm excited and scared to try this personally. So essentially the issue in using IPv6 is that you're usually using the whole block to directly assign those addresses to local devices? Is that the primary benefit in a residential s

Are they in the red on the loan? The numbers and functions are where I get confused. "a whale has deposited 5.7M SOL ($170M and borrowed 108M USDC and USDT borrowed)" So they put in 5.7 SOL at some price, and used it to borrow sta

There's not much in this article, but I think it goes beyond being cheap. If your local area Walmart has obliterated all competition and you simply want to go to NOT WALMART. These rapidly expanding chains offer some form of alternativ

Anyone interested should check out Breath. An active project with a similar goal. I've run it on multiple Chromebooks and love the experience. https://cb-linux.github.io/breath/

I assume it's some form of functionality that allows serial number keyed equipment to be changed. You can't swap a large number of components on iPhones without locking yourself out.

I disagree, pioneering SBCs on a non-profit budget means this one hitch on binary blobs is a very low priority for them. Working with the same vendor consistently to iterate on a very similar design each time is ideal.

I’m impressed so many Wi-Fi 6 devices were picked up despite it having the worst range of the Wi-Fi standards.

Where I struggle with this is on the basis of the idea. At this point why not turn everyone into a Holo Live character or some other metaverse style creation? Our face is part of who we are and removing that feels very unnatural to me.

I'm vaguely familiar with the pay by weight frozen yogurt shops. I can't speak from first hand experience but I would say that if you had 6+ machines and that was all your business did it would be a non issue. A few locations, rot
