Give me an inverted IPython and I'll be happy. By inverted I mean: I write code and from time to time I want to document it with rich information (plots, equations, a bit more structured text). So I would love to have powerful commen

You got my point. That's why I was thinking about being backed by a lawyer 'cos at some point the discussion between "deceiving" and "acting" could be raised :-)

I once wanted to make a small network of bots hosted at frriend's homes. These bots would talk each other by sending some Shakespeare's play excerpts where you would replace the names of the characters by names of various criminal

The hardware limitations are what makes the demos what they are. If it were not for them, we'd all make pre-rendered animations. There's a reason why you've got the 4Kb, 64Kb competitions. We want limitations because overcomi

In case you wonder, the scene is not dead. It certainly is not what it was anymore, but there are still many people trying to push the limits on old computers. Some demomakers are also active in the emulation scene. But in the end, I guess

+1 for the fast compile time. TurboPascal was not a marketing name, it was that fast, including my old 386 machine. But TBH, nowaday's compilers do so much more, I'll happily trade compile time for that !

Inline assembler was a killer feature: you could optimize bits of your code without having to understand how an assembler works and without having to deal with a linker as Pascal compiler did everything itself. Great time indeed !
