Even that niche has better competitors, I think. I haven't used on-prem CCI, but I used hosted CCI for several years and when my team switched to https://buildkite.com/ it was a huge breath of fresh air. I think BuildK

Isn’t “Al” the Arabic definite article? The article keeps referring to it as “The Al Rihla”, i.e. “the the Rihla”.

FWIW you can subscribe to Matt Levine’s column as email newsletter without being a Bloomberg subscriber. (That doesn’t help for reading already-published columns, but of course there are other ways around paywalls.)

Yeah, completely agree on reducing gift giving as adults. I long ago made it clear to my family they should just donate to charity in my name at holidays except in rare cases when I specifically say I want something. Took some convincing, b

As somebody who has been “that coffee friend” and received far too many coffee-related gifts for years (including many pounds of stale, burnt beans), I wish people wouldn’t do this. If I’m super into topic X and you’re not, there’s a good c

Similar experience for me. I had iPhones from 2008-2018, they were rock solid - I upgraded when I felt like it, not when the phones broke. I bought a Samsung S9 in 2018. After a year the case was kind of coming apart, but I’d come to like A
