The last time I worked on a .NET Core (v2) project, I was able to do everything that I needed to on my Manjaro workstation. One thing that I missed was SQL Server Management Studio, but Azure Data Studio was more than good enough and it eve

I was looking to see why they didn't go with AMD CPUs and the only answer that I could find in my relatively brief search was that it was due to the chip shortage. Is that true?

That's just a lack of imagination. Apple's app store grip prevents whole industries from taking shape.

Manjaro is and that's based on Arch. They curate the updates for you to prevent breakages and the need to tinker endlessly. I've been running it for 3 years on 4 machines and I've had far less breakage from updates than with

All of those packages are for running things in Deno or creating modules that will run in Deno. Rome is for building frontend packages and apps.

Thanks! This worked instantly just now as I purged cache and updated all lists in uBlock Origin. I don't look forward to when Chrome enforces Manifest v3 when I'll probably have to wait for a whole extension to be updated instead

Why would my ad blocker (uBlock Origin) be blocking the domain of a "open-source column-oriented database management system"? I guess this is used heavily in advertising?

But why though? At my desktop workstation both of my monitors are exactly the same brand and model (and sequential serial numbers, if I have a choice) and that's exactly what I would want regardless of my OS. Why would anyone not prefe

Apple shouldn’t be allowed to lock out alternative app stores.

I don’t think the store is very convenient. Every time I search for something, the first item I get is something else. Usually the opposite of what I want. Sometimes the first few items that I get are something else. Also it’s slow on some

This is also a PWA that you can add to your home screen in iOS for a nice full screen view.

And Chromium isn't OSS?? Wrong. Chromium is a cross-platform OSS browser engine. IE was effectively a single platform closed source browser. FLoC fiasco? You mean a feature you can turn off, that only exists in Chrome and not every b

Every Linux distro uses the Linux kernel and that's not a problem just like Chromium is not a problem for the various browsers that use it. Chromium is entirely open source.

I don't want to lock my phone at all, I only lock my password managers. Therefore I can't even use wallet. I wonder if I'll even be able to use it for IDs.
