Not really. We don't need more games. We need better quality games made with passion. More than a thousand new games are added to Steam every week. It's all just noise.

Those cheap phones are made out of garbage and are chock-full of bloatware and spyware. This also applies to Samsung flagships so I guess more expensive doesn't always mean better.

Apple USB-C ports and plugs are superb so maybe the design is not so bad. Maybe most manufacturers just use crappy ports to save a few cents. But yeah, mechanically Lightning was awesome. Great plug/port.

Ah yes, vibe coded games with AI slop soundtrack. The future of gaming couldn't look any brighter.

I just played for a couple of minutes and didn't even finish the article. Also suffering from ADHD but in my defense space invaders is pretty good with mouse controls.

I've owned an ereader for about a decade and never felt that I need to jump through any hoops to read a book on it. I've been getting my books from some gal called Anna. Apparently she has a pretty impressive archive.

I bought a Kobo Libra about a year ago and it's rock solid although I'm not using any sync features. I turned on the airplane mode on day one. Just works.

Yeah I guess you're right but there are limits on how shallow your DOF can get on smaller sensors. So when it comes to practical irl results you kinda need a larger sensor to get extremely shallow DOF.

Yeah kinda. Amount of light per area is the same but smaller sensors have smaller pixels that have worse SNR. This means the sensor receives the same amount of light per area but still needs to boost the signal more because of smaller pixel

And sensor size. The bigger the sensor the shallower the DOF and better the perceived quality of blur at given f-stop.

I guess it's pretty interesting for video but still not sure about calling it next-level. This look is as old as photography itself.

If you're thinking about the depth of field then yes. Exposure wise f1 is f1 no matter the sensor size.

Shoot with smaller sensors and step down your lens. The bigger the sensor the shallower the depth of field at given f-stop. For example when shooting with an APS-C camera at f2.8 you're going to get the same amount of light on the sens

RAM makers are not increasing their capacity. If AI bubble bursts we might see a momentary drop in RAM prices but it won't be dramatic. Return to "normal" is the best scenario I can imagine but my gut tells me we're prob

There is enough older hardware floating around to last us for decades. You don't need a gaming rig to do 99% of your computing (excluding gaming obviously). Also computers don't really just break. It's mostly the disks that w

It won't be useful though. Raspberry Pi is too slow to run local AI models. Buying a second hand Optiplex would give you 10x the performance at the same price and that still wouldn't be enough to run a proper local AI model at dec
