Ownership of guns or a citizenry with guns does not degeneracy make. Education, or lack there of, is the ill to the mention you made. Take Switzerland. http://world.time.com/2012/12/20/the-swiss-difference-a

I've always wanted to know how the 5% royalty is enforced. Other, much lesser known, engines have attempted to do something of this sort by acting as an intermediary eg. publisher, planning to pay developers after they were paid by App

Algos were stewards of the '08 crash, not the reason. It's dangerously naive to believe overexerted housing values and propped up fundamentals weren't to blame. Not to mention how institutional trust went out the window once

I completely agree with 99% of what you said. We launched in 2009, and were feature by Apple over 9 times. While we wanted to monetize on episodic content IAP wasn't yet a possibility. The programers, who already had jobs, were dissuad

I agree with all you've said, but my independent charade started in 2009 - IAP was not yet a function of Apple libraries. Once better tools became available for us to monetize as originally planned, my team was already well dispersed.

You mean something like little Johnny Gamedesigner who decides to break free and go independent after 10 years of AAA studio life? His first game is featured all over, but released to a 95% piracy rate. Pulling in barely $20k after 6 months

This is why Nintendo rarely has sales. You completely destroy your brand when you say it's really only worth X percent of what you're normally charging. The same could be stated for anything, really. It's all in perceived val

You know, I was going to add a bit about the debt, but I knew this comment was off topic enough/ I couldn't advocate an actual purchase now, but at one point it seemed interesting. I just wasn't thinking big enough.

Crunch is typically the result of poor planning or design on the fly or by focus-group. So, to that end, it's not the crunch's fault, even though it sucks, it's the fault of design and production not getting their ducks in a

Once, long ago, I thought Google would have bought Radio Shack and installed wireless network hubs in all ~5000 of them to bring internet to the masses. I guess this is a subsequent option. That said, on the verge of bankruptcy, Radio Shack

When all you do is view everyone's best moments from that day it's no wonder it leads to a certain kind of depression. I saw it in spades in my ex-gf who is a lawyer working 10-12hrs/day. She would get so depressed looking at
