No :P LaTeX is something that absolutely does not work for me. I've waste too many hours, days, maybe even weeks by now, fiddling with LaTeX oddities. I am done with it.

There is no practical way of turning of telemetry completely. Since telemetry is enabled by default, I doubt the portion of users turning it off is significant. I think the bigger problem is that you just can't derive meaningful data f

Defender may be better but I still don't like that you can't completely disabled it without breaking other parts of the system, like Windows Store. Edge itself, as a browser, might only be equally annoying as Chrome, but my point

Regarding gaming: in fact a lot of the big studios don't really care about PC as a platform in general, not specifically about Windows. See Elden Ring for example, it has a PC 'port' that is about the bare minimum you can get

I'd really like to know how much Microsoft's behavior with recent Windows versions pays off. Specifically bundling lots of unwanted apps, forcing Edge and Defender down people's throats, removing basic UI customization featur

I recently considered using Kaitai for a project but I am not sure whether it can handle the following: Certain parts of the binary I need to parse are compressed using some custom algorithm. I do have an implementation for compression and

I wonder whether the problems with Windows Ink have been a driving force behind this move. I think anyone that has used Krita on Windows has run into issues related to Windows Ink while using a Wacom tablet.

To feel less guilty about them: fix them. Everyone makes mistakes, but that's just part of the iterative process. If you fix your bugs as soon as they come up, there is no issue. QA is there fore finding bugs, and if a bug leads to a c

Yeah, I was wanted to use the Git graph feature to create some nice diagrams. I expected the cli to work just like graphviz. Yet I was greeted by a stacktrace from Chromium since it did not work in WSL. The whole idea of depending on a full

Sure, last time I used them I documented some file format I needed to reverse engineer. Here an excerpt. Of course, it's not _necessary_ to do it like that. It's just flavor. ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┯━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┳━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For what it's worth, I keep a file in my home folder containing some box drawing characters. It's not super fast to draw by copy-paste but the result usually looks quite nice. ─ │ ┌ ┬ ┐ ┄ ┆ ├ ┼ ┤ ╲ ╱ ┈ ┊ └ ┴ ┘

Big thanks to DXVK at this point. Even when you are not running on Linux directly, having a DX11 -> Vulkan translation layer makes porting (older) games to other platforms so much easier. Of course, there are also other projects like FAu
