While we may or may not be a bubble, its hard to pay much credence to statements like "there is no bubble!" by someone heavily invested in the potential bubble.

I'm curious to see what people here think of "unlimited vacation" days policy in companies like Netflix. The place where I work has the same policy. I'm inclined to believe this "vacations are for the weak" id

Yes, interviewing developers for front-end positions has been a nightmare for me too. I interviewed about 40 developers to fill 3 new positions. Yikes. "This is how its done in JQuery" is not a acceptable answer! I expect atleast

I have friends who have politely refused to answer or indulge the interviewer in the algorithm questions labyrinth. As someone being interviewed, you should atleast try to divert the interview toward your strengths. On the flip-side, if a

Are they limiting the definition of "tech talent" to single 25-somethings? I know plenty of engineers with families who dont want to or cannot afford to live in San Francisco and like to live in the south bay/east bay or in t

I appreciate the fact that the companies are focusing on this. However, its unclear to me why they didn't try any of this before Snowden leaked all this information? So if no one knew about it, these tech companies were OK sharing with

Interesting analogy from the author, considering she's also a woman. A poor attempt to force their point across by being hyperbole.

I agree, makes negotiation much harder. "We're giving you 25000 options"... but if I have no idea how much its potentially worth, I dont know what I'm saying OK to. This is often the case though, I'm quite sure.
