What do you think about the newer attempts at declarative programming (which are often embedded in Prolog) such as CLP + consistency techniques and CHR? Regardless of whether Prolog (or CLP or CHR) is helpful towards "real" AI, I&

I have read that sleep deprivation is as bad as getting drunk in terms of the number of IQ points' hit taken, so I would argue that many folks in the industry are effectively coding drunk :-)

The fascinating part for me has always been the power of compounding : 1.032 ^ 300 = 12703, while 1.030 ^ 300 = 7098 ! i.e., a difference of 0.2% per annum makes a 5600-times difference in final wealth. Related : in the finance industry, th

IMHO, offers of $2000 as referral bonus if you find us a rockstar (while for the exact same role, recruiters will be rewarded with 2 to 3 months of salary, i.e., $20000 to $30000 per $100k of salary) are asking for a ridiculous arbitrage th
