A case study of HN-friendly clickbait based on an obviously fake story. Automatically performing a roll back of staging DB to latest backup by matching words "sorry" or "help" in an email from a DBA? Yeah, right.

Actually, it's other way around. Your comment is misleading and your intentions have not-so-slightly seedy side. Are you really attacking a concept of charity organization in a capitalistic world? Calculation methodology is available

This is just an example of ad networks moving down the supply chain. Lead gen, customer retention systems, even support services are a possible evolution of core ad networks services. The reason for this is quite simple: ad blocking.

How exactly the Transparency International website that contains public statements critical of E.U. financial regulation backs up your point?

Really? Transparency International is not a government organization but a non-profit registered in Belgium. edit: HN posting limit is extremely annoying, providing no way for a sustained discussion within multiple threads.

So it goes. Terror attacks provide opportunities for special interest groups to advance their agenda while public is frightened and irrational. Makes you think about the implicit beneficiaries of terrorism, doesn't it?

Kolmogorov complexity of HN comments on X is approaching boilerplate level. Where X is Google's product changes, front-end apps/frameworks, advertising, etc etc.

HN tech hivemind is often both conservative and arrogant: node is an aberration, atom is a travesty, docker is for the lazy, front end frameworks are overused, etc etc.

I've invested some time to learn about best practices and have been using docker in production for many months with completely satisfactory results. I am not seeing a rational discussion here.

I've gotten so much utility out of docker, it feels absurd to read this comment. Containers made the sysadmin part significantly easier, whether it was testing new Node releases, trying out random databases or learning new languages. W
