So it goes. Terror attacks provide opportunities for special interest groups to advance their agenda while public is frightened and irrational. Makes you think about the implicit beneficiaries of terrorism, doesn't it?
- JustSomeNobody 11y agoIndeed, governments around the globe absolutely love terrorism. It's good for business.
- chki 11y agoI think this is not true for several reasons. One (only in multi-party systems) is the rise of new political parties (for example here in Germany) that are very "right-winged" and strongly oppose the current government. I think it can not possibly be in the governments interest to loose power to these groups.
