It is clear from this that things have gone horribly awry for Russia. It seems that the expectation was that this would be a quick job with the West more or less shaking their fist. The situation has devolved into near complete economic iso

While I’m no expert, this comment most accurately captures my suspicion: it is just a flag flown by various groups at various times as a sort of digital cover. In these times, it could be said that anyone clicking one of those links to DDoS

Please reread what I said. I don’t think it’s okay. It’s the very first sentence in my reply to you. I’m open to discussion but only if you are replying to what I'm saying.

I don’t think it is okay. I think protests and elections are great ways to register discontent with a state of affairs. But should the powers of protests go so far that small groups can shut down large parts of an economy? It is my understa

That is just one side of the slippery slope though. Assuming we took this recommendation as a rule, it seems that a convoy of truckers could organize, shut down an economy, and force an election any time they disagreed with something. This

I’d like to expand on some thoughts I had in another thread that provoked some interesting discussion: If the protests are peaceful, the government should not shut them down. But at what point do the economic impacts of a protest cross a li

I’m not in Ottowa and I feel like I’m not sure what to believe here. On one hand, if the protests really were peaceful, I do not believe the government should shut them down. On the other hand, I’ve heard the protests have caused millions i

I don’t think OP is talking about disenfranchisement in 2020. Historical disenfranchisement checks out with my understanding of history though.

Thanks for this. I was quite confused by the title. It appears as "The Fireless Cooker That Feeds" for me. I thought, "Isn't any sort of cooker supposed to feed?"

In my own experience it’s just code which is easy to reuse that becomes viral. I don’t think ease-of-use means the underlying workings are good though. Most likely I think it’s just easier to write a good API for code that isn’t handling ed

I got a buzzfeed-style ad for “hottest beach babes of 2021” or similar half way through. I know the ad is generated by an automated system. But it’s hypocritical that a news site would make claims of righteousness while engaging in very sim

As many replies have stated, retail theft is already trivial RFID or not. When I was in university, a roommate made it a habit of ringing out several pounds of alcohol as celery in self checkout on a monthly basis. They got caught after yea

It appears the race was on for commenters to jump in and define undefined behavior. Your comment is similar to my own. I feel like this sort of thing can be utilized as some sort of dev honeypot.
