I got a 360 recently to play an arcade scrolling shooter port. Microsoft requires game publishers to have a certain minimum number of those popup achievements in the game before they approve it for production. Cynically, the publisher (a me

They could do that. Run some portions of the game on the server, which would remove some of the game logic from the client, making any sort of crack to require adding back in instead of simply stripping out logic. They probably will not do

True. It's a loss for them either way -- if Ubisoft goes out of their way to add this feature, the effort required by the crackers is proportionally smaller. I tend to think most of the draconian copyrape is actually internal political mane

1. Make your own, free saved game server and alter the application code to use it. This means a lot of work and expense, both to duplicate Ubisoft's game saving code and to set up and maintain the servers. Won't happen. I'm not even a ver

Rather than the physical hardware of the touchscreen accuracy, nobody seems to be commenting on the software accuracy and, more importantly, latency. Android is much less responsive (yes, even on my Nexus One) than any iPhone model. This is

It's possible to break Android from just within the OS itself. This also applies to Ubuntu and almost every other OS I can think of. I don't know if this will be the case with Chrome.

I can't tell if the comments here taking this seriously are being sarcastic or not. Ok, brain hurting like recursive Lisp macros now.

Then why post it here? "It could exist in a future phone at some point, it doesn't involve you. But here's a link, for you to read." If I shouldn't care, then why should I care?

Here are some things to check out if you are just getting into development for the Cocoa Touch platform. There's probably a lot of drivel out there, now that the platform has become hot shit for marketing and corporate dweebs, so there are

Flash is pretty OK in Windows, generally. I wouldn't have such a big beef with it if Adobe could get its Linux and especially Mac OS X versions at least as fast/non-crashy.
