I don't really agree with this article. That said, I don't think schools are necessarily the problem. Parenting, and the ability to be proper parents, is the problem. most parents don't have time to be parents. They're e

Just wanna say, as a self-taught developer over the past few years who _might_ go into a leading role, this thread is pretty informative. Thank you.

Oh ok I think I understand what the problem is now. Sorry, I was genuinely confused for a second there, not sure why. Maybe I’m just getting old lol

Not easily accessed? Really? Pop the hood, see battery. Remove cables and plastic holder thingy. Toss it, but new one, install in reverse order.

Well, I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason. I feel like the real reason are the laws involved. I’m pretty sure a lot of people would jump at the chance to own a 2or 3k electric scooter that is self repairable with a universal battery type

I don’t understand why the states just won’t adopt electric scooters. In mainland China, electric scooters are a dime a dozen. For the cheapest, you have basic lead-acid batteries to power them. Slightly more expensive gets you better batte

So they advocate transparency, yet there aren’t any board minutes or even a look into what happened. Weird.

Only 52% gross margins? Oh, poor Intel. Boohoo. I guess that's "poor" for the board members. But, since the new CEO is an engineer, I have high hopes for Intel. I've always liked Intel, and I think they finally realize t

This just... kinda sounds like an Internet cafe. I don’t see the difference, except maybe these “anti” cafes are more expensive

I’m afraid of ageism too, and I’m 39. I’m lucky to work for a company that looked beyond this and saw my skills as a self-taught programmer, and took me on with a freelance contract. My main concern is continuing to find work whenever this

So then, what’s the countermeasure to this? It’s probably already being used for nefarious purposes. So how do you counter it?

I could care less about bulk supermarkets, and I don’t really think they’re a great answer. If anything, they may be worse in some ways. For me, it’s the packaging. Japan is a great example of this. Think of a banana, or an orange. Perfect

The cause is us. This has been in the works for decades, and we’ve been warned about it since the 70s. Governments just haven’t paid attention because they only care about the _now_ not the future. I’ve seen how fucked our oceans have becom
