Interestingly, N26 here in Germany advertises with “no hidden charges” and then goes on to charge you for almost everything. Like using an ATM more than 3 times a month. What?

There is a very cute Lego version of the LHC in the lobby of the building that houses the LHC. Lego should actually bring it to market.

The old huge IBM stuff they have is fascinating but I really was amazed by the Cray. What a cool weird design piece. They totally had some Bauhaus type designer work on the housing.

I’m very similar to you. B2B SaaS. Bootstrapped. Hitting 50k ARR right now. - 1 year is nothing. Do consulting up to two years. - screw partnerships, pilots. They add nothing. - Start blogging and evangelizing - Do anything feasible to get

There is a great observation in one of the Bellingcat podcasts on MH17. Russia no longer denies facts. Instead they go all postmodern: “what are facts anyway? What is truth?” I guess Trump does this too to an extent. Except he has the pres

Averages are misleading when applied countrywide. Just drive through Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe etc. (all provinces) and you will get a totally different picture. I actually just landed at Schiphol on a clear day and you can see the coun

Not sure what happened to your associate but this sounds way, way out there. I run a fairly resource intensive SaaS on AWS (lots of background jobs generating data) and we barely go over $600 a month. People should not be scared of by these

Aha, you mean dedicated security scanning / intrusion detection systems. I use none. I use static websites, Heroku and AWS Lambda for all work. So all of the network, vulnerability etc. worries are of loaded to the provider. No user da

I’m a SaaS bootstrapper. What do you mean with “security stack”? Security is layered into all components of the tech stack. It is not a discrete part of the stack.
