So from talking to people I see a need to quickly turn a spreadsheet of information into something visually pleasing. SheetUI is my response to that need. You give it a Google Sheet URL, pick a template, and tap in the columns where you wan

Huh, did not know this. I was just going to implement Carousel as an option in my editor! About your second link, is there a site that gives general advice on UI/UX based on A/B statistics?

I thought about the kinds of system I would like that is no longer the norm today, and that would be low latency UIs, like those text-mode UIs. If I were building a user-oriented web app today, this is what I'd do. Store data locally (

The article mentions that Tesla stripped out some mass from the car which resulted in longer range, but would doing so change its stability to the point where its safety rating needs to be reassessed, or is there a margin of tolerance?

Heavily inspired by vi text editor. WYSIWYG but sans the mouse. Some of the things you can do with it: * create an element before/after/begin/end/around other elements * easily toggle classes/attributes/s

That analogy does not work though. Landmine's sole purpose is to kill/injure whoever steps on it. I don't use Facebook much, but plenty of people have benefited from it. Instead of personal cost to him, I'd rather view i

This reminds me of an indie game (or a web game) where players have to press a button to keep a girl alive. Does anyone remember what it's called?

A bit tangential, but since OP mentioned abstraction, I'd like to add this: One of the marks of a readable piece of code is that it does not mix different levels of abstractions. Here's a contrived example: if (a < b &&

As a counter to your points, I think no-code works best if your business's competitive advantage is the non-technical side of things, e.g services, network effects, people, non-software products, etc. An example of such a business woul

Along the same vein, I've been working on a Vi-like editor for creating webpages [0], and if anyone's looking to create a tiny website, it's worth checking out. If you enjoy using Vi, you'll likely have a blast using thi

I had more or less the same idea, but perhaps with the markdown syntax extended (I understand this is a touchy topic since there are various markdown parsers that don't all work the same) to allow for simple generation of form controls

When you say WYSIWYG editors are universally bad, do you mean the idea of it is just bad, or the implementations we've had so far are bad?

Really neat tool. So the way Ply works is it deletes each CSS property and looks for visual regression; but what if the deletion of a CSS property introduces visual differences only under certain screen sizes due to the use of media query?

I had the same problem with menus too, so I thought ribbon was helpful because it showed most of everything I needed and I just had to give the whole ribbon a quick glance over to find what I needed. Admittedly my needs were simple enough t
