I don't know what to tell you. If you haven't noticed the overwhelming mass-production of engineered outrage over the last few years, then perhaps we don't frequent the same places on the internet.

So what? Well, we get to choose which side we allow to spy on us. I mean, I suppose we could make an argument for all people being equal in all equal ways, but don't forget that the each state actor is driven by different sets of moral

I agree with you, especially on the bit about making something entirely and fundamentally different. I do see an alternative that the tech-savvy will flock to, perhaps they already have by deleting social media etc. How do you get the rest

I'm going to take a cynical stand and claim that the internet as the greybeards envisioned decades ago is just not going to happen. Or perhaps happened for a short window in the early 2000s. I don't see how we can just turn things

I'm not doing anything directly through work or activism, but I have made a decision to not have children(albeit for other reasons), as have my siblings. I guess that will have more of a long-term impact than recycling, going vegan or

Last couple of years have led me to err on the side of caution and assume that pretty much everything I use has backdoors. Also, Slack is so bloated that it doesn't even make it to the shortlist of the communication apps I'm looki

The goal was never to end extremism or fundamentalism. Conflict is very very profitable to all sides except the common person. I guarantee that a lot of elite Iranians prefer war and conflict over peace, just like the US.
