I don't think failure to sympathize with 'future self' is limited to sociopaths. I could give some common examples but I was up until 7am so I'm a little fuzzy at the moment.

Agatha Christie is indeed enjoyable, but she hasn't been read for hundreds of years. Do you really think people will be reading her 200 years from now? I'm not sure why you think what is considered a classic could be dictated by w

Something like that could work really well in a place like Mana Bar (a cocktail bar and video gaming lounge, really just a bar with wall to wall consoles etc.). You could have games that you pay to play, and how well you do = how much alcoh

Archie, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Asterix, Tintin... Old comics, from the 1980's or earlier are pretty safe. These days the audience is 15+ guys. Soft porn and hardcore violence. Why would he take his 7 year old daughter and 5 year ol

It might be nice if your SO/parent/etc could get first priority, and then outsource if they are not available. That way couples could use the app for their own convenience too.

Daily hard exercise - the panting, heart-pounding, drenched in sweat kind of exercise - increases your metabolism. You can eat whatever you want, as much as you want, and you won't gain fat. The 2nd law of thermodynamics has little if

I guess chalk it up to semantics? I could happily argue that online NLHE and live NLHE are also two different games. Like comparing tennis to squash - similar, but not the same. Of course, this would be better argued on 2+2.

Oh. Yes, low limit full ring games are quite different. If every hand comes to showdown you are all playing loose, and the correct strategy is indeed tight aggressive. The article and my comment are referring to a two player limit holdem ga

That's one way to put it. Often nobody has anything that would be playable in a full ring game. The button is paramount, almost like having the serve in tennis. Also, HU LHE is (much) more complicated than full ring. You have less know

Ah, that's where I'd heard it. I was wracking my brains for a minute, thank you. It is a good book, I heartily recommend it. I was perplexed by the anti-Semitism of WW2 (Where did it come from? How? Why?) until I read Ivanhoe.
