As far as a list of moves by AWS that seem fishy, this one really isnt. This to me is closer to artificial scarcity pricing that matches a customers need and willingness to pay. Its no different than putting SAML in the “enterprise” column

The big item is having no build step. With gRPC even no matter how fast your codegen is, it still needs to execute. With tRPC the return types from the routers are all automatically derived from whatever the mutations or queries return.

There's a war being waged on whether or not we're going to allow certain institutions to belong to the commons. If certain industries had their way, every sip of water and every breath of air would have an associated cost and mark

What I can't understand about Elon's approach is how easy it would be to do nothing. Like he could easily just ignore these tweets and not have a massive public thread where he gets eviscerated. I can appreciate that there are a l

You can use the slow query log which is very helpful. Lots of logging tools will injest it properly and you can aggregate queries that are ran frequently. Having an index or not is just one optimization.

Agreed. This library is so opinionated that it more or less becomes useless. Youre way better off using iron-session or just go all the way and use a provider like Auth0, etc.
