In my case, having a bedtime alarm would only leave me anxious and frustrated if I went to bed and failed to sleep at that time. But I have tried something similar: setting an alarm to decompress before sleeping. No phone, no TV — just some

That’s a bummer! Have you found out why that didn’t work? Perhaps something like caffeine or allergies was interfering with your sleep? If haven’t found out, I wholly recommend doing a sleep study if you can. It can shed some light on any o

I found the best way to ensure sleep regularity is by having a fixed wake-up time. If you don’t have one and you begin to set your alarm clock to early hours, the first weeks doing so will feel like hell. But eventually all will be worth it

At the time of the Mexican-American War, in 1846, there was no Spanish colonial presence in Mexico. In fact, the country had become an independent monarchy, soon followed by a republic, more than two decades before. Spain lost the vast majo

Most certainly not. Software rewrites usually are well-intentioned and might have benefits. Dental replacements like these are certainly not well-intentioned and only the dentist benefits from them.

I guess it’s only worth it for people who would really benefit from the speed bump — those who push their machines to the limit and work under tight schedules. I myself don’t need so much performance, so I tend to keep my devices for many,

Yes, other M.2 SSDs have comparable performance when swapping, and other operating systems compress memory, too — though I believe not as much as MacOS. Although machines with Apple Silicon swap flawlessly, I worry about degrading the SSD,

At least in the recent past, a hindrance was that MacOS limited how much of that unified memory could be assigned as VRAM. Those who wanted to exceed the limits had to tinker with kernel settings. I wonder if that has changed or is about t

Nice to see they increased the number of performance cores in the M4 Pro, compared to the M3 Pro. Though I am worried about the impact of this change on battery life on the MBPs. Another positive development was bumping up baseline amounts

How do you recommend that practice to be like? Simply trying over and over to perfect each letterform on empty lined sheets, based on a reference? I’ve done a few handwriting workbooks, mostly consisting of block letter templates to fill.
