Try some exercise in VR. "Thrill Of The Fight", "Holopoint", "GORN" or similar games are a lot of fun and are at least a moderate workout. I've literally just finished a half-hour session of GORN, I'm

This argument seems like it needs some evidence behind it. Where's the infinite supply of scientists coming from?

I've recently switched to Netlify and I'm very impressed. I may well end up moving most or all of my sites there. A great choice for OP's usecase, I think.

You'd be looking for BigScreen rather than Virtual Desktop for your use-case. Having said that, echoing other commenters - the resolution isn't there yet. Maybe have a look at the just-announced 8k headset - https://www

Very neat tool indeed! Is there a binary I can download and run? I don't know what version of Unity you used so I don't really want to compile myself if I can avoid it :) EDIT - Answered my own question, it's available from h

Just finishing up my first VR game, Left-Hand Path, ready for its exit from Steam Early Access. It's a Dark Souls-inspired full-length game (15 hours of VR gameplay) where you cast spells by drawing glyphs in the air. People seem to li

How did you get this working in Windows? I'm struggling with just this problem in Win10 at the moment.

Thanks for posting this. I was considering an ad buy on Reddit next month to promote a niche product - I'll probably still do it, but I'll be a lot more ready to pause if the ROI isn't backing out, because now I know why. (&#

Honestly, it does feel like the current crop of TV is somewhat weaker than it has been for a while. (I'd argue that Top Of The Lake, which is 4 years old now, doesn't fit in "current crop".) That might just be a taste th

You might want to look through ShareASale's catalog - they have a lot of tech-related affiliate programs running through their system, and you'll be able to compare them.

Yup, from time to time. I also use data science in one side of my business (online marketing), but as a hobby I periodically do data analysis of the computer game DOTA2. There's a large (huge, actually) available dataset, and lots of i

That's a really clever idea, and I am absolutely going to do that from now on. (I just wrap 'em neatly currently. The film industry is good at techniques for cable control. But I've not heard the "freezer bag" idea

OK, this is a very specific point to comment on, but - I'd disagree with you about the computer cables. I occasionally get annoyed by my Big Box Of Cables: I used to work in digital filmmaking, so I've really got a LOT of cables i

I know it'd need a much larger training set, but honestly you're not playing DOTA unless the full hero pool is in play. Never mind 5v5, a 1v1 bot that would let Dendi/Sumail/RTZ etc choose any hero and still win would be

Yup, that's exactly the same in DOTA. The pick phase is considered by some commentators to be the most interestingly strategic part of the entire game! (At a pro level, obviously. At the level I play at, not so much...)

Just for clarification - as brisk walking is generally considered to be rather good moderate exercise - your comment that "Walking in a shopping mall doesn't count" is because it's expected to be slow rather than brisk w

How passive are you looking for here? There's a biiiiig difference between genuinely passive "no work required; cash just turns up", 1-4 hr a month maintenance-mode businesses, the classic 4 hour work week, and even (I'v

True, but the OpenDOTA API does give access to estimated MMR stats for many games, which are pretty accurate. So you could use those if you wanted to. That would limit the available match pool, granted. It depends on how many thousand games

Are you partitioning the matches by MMR, or just doing global suggestions? I ask because this always seems the biggest weakness of all the existing picking tools. A 1k player and a 5k player throwing the same lineup into a picking tool shou
