On another note, avoiding having paths with troublesome chars in them on servers does generally make the sailing much more pleasurable.

Copying over the commands to run also has another added benefit, you have quite good documentation of what was run and when. Also it allows one to easily run a failing thing again (in case output gets mangled in the executing script)

Very good and simple pattern. Not only for yourself but also for organizational design.

Interesting thought experiment. I'd wager there are equally interesting ethics challenges that would need addressing in order to actually do something like this well.

That's a great approach that has worked for me too. I think plant is a great little system. Not only can you get your point over in a handful of lines of text but I have found out that it is quite easy to generate the plantuml programm

Regardless of the provenance of that quote, it is quite apt wrt IT clients. They always come asking for a faster horse, ie: something they know that is just better in a specific way. A lot of the times this might be wrong but I think the in

To balance out the almost entirely negative comment let me say that akaunting does do some things quite well though. Using it with multiple users to collaborate on the accounts works without a hitch and stuff like the dashboards you can cli

Just a word of caution on akaunting, the FOSS product is very much the SaaS product, so lots of buttons will lead to nowhere and you will get CTAs to enable plugins which you later find out only work on the hosted service. I’m my case I eve
