I had mentioned the problem and my workaround in their support forum. The only feedback I got was from other users stating they had the same problem. Maybe I'll make an out of the blue PR at some point but looking at PRs and Issues on GH it doesn't seem that there is a lot of crossborder discussion happening there either. That said, I'm still going to be invoicing my clients via my selfhosted akaunting instance tonight. So maybe its not that bad after all.
