That's not the whole point in my mind. What I'm looking for from journalists is a balanced, accurate, and objective reporting. That does involve being critical, but it also involves reporting on the positive aspects. A directive

Unfortunately the NYT editorial board has become quite political in a way that I don't think journalists should. I finally stopped reading them after their highly biased coverage and openly stated support of the Canadian alt-right occu

Think of it as a socially driven RSS feed. On the one hand I enjoy following e.g. Science magazine directly. But the social part is that I follow people who post things they find interesting and often I find those things interesting as well

If a site I visit frequently has a paid option to get rid of ads, I'll pay it. Otherwise, I block ads. When it's legislated that ad-free options must be provided maybe then you can claim ad-blocking is immoral, but today it's

Search can always be provided like it is for the web. Third party indexing servers that crawl the network. That's ok, even good maybe.

Worse, what are you going to do about things like child porn or other highly objectional material? If it's decentralized then you can't block these things. Often advocates of these sorts of things say that the good outweighs the h

This is entirely unsurprising and has a very simple solution: keep adding more data. Our measurements of the accuracy of AI systems are only as good as the test data, and if the test data is too small, then the reported accuracies won'

I actually did start a company using Clojure. All these points are true. Yes, it helped filter candidates in the early days, and also helped attract people to jobs that might otherwise not be that interesting or competitive. It's diffi

One crucial thing not often talked about with this plan is that the stock is granted and vests quarterly . In fact, the amount of stock you get each quarter is also variable. E.g. if you choose to have 100k of equity each year, each quarte
