Driving is already likely a lot more expensive, so yeah I'm suggesting that if drivers have already made that decision as is I don't see another $15/day being a huge difference maker. Monthly garage parking in midtown is like

People in NYC make much more. So if it's less in NYC than London then I'm even more convinced that it won't do that much for congestion.

Time will tell but I feel like $15 max 1x/day is too low. Drivers are already likely paying other tolls, expensive monthly parking in Manhattan, gas. Another $15/day is not likely to change behavior.

imo it's just unnecessarily busy and can be buggy. if you spend some time using the old web version, which feels very HN like, you'll wonder why you'd ever use the new one.

I think what happens with Reddit is that it's basically a collection of niche message boards for very niche interests, and over time the people who stay active in a given subreddit are people who take some topic extremely seriously and

Rents are definitely down, though it still seems like there are a bunch of flippers who have barely budged on list prices for houses that should be 30-40% below where they are now.

I believe customers will be made whole but in dollars at time of bankruptcy so if you had 1 bitcoin on ftx then you’re only going to get $15k or whatever the price was then not $70k

paying the seller's agent a percentage of the home sale makes sense still. it is more difficult to sell a very expensive home vs a cheaper one, so i wouldn't say at all the value they provide selling a $400k house vs a $4m one is

Are there really more transactions in other countries where the commission is much smaller? I'm not sure that is really one of the main reasons why a seller decides to sell a home or not.
