I used to think this way. I remember writing an angry rant comment on a review of the Magic Trackpad, saying it was the beginning of the end for precise, professional input. Now, of course, I exclusively use the MT with my Macs & plan o

I want something like that's halfway between links/w3m & readability/reader view - basically a version of readability that's an actual browser. Maybe one day lightweight design will be trendy.

During driver on-boarding Lyft trains drivers to converse with passengers, while Uber actively discourages it. This is the dynamic you're picking up on, and to me it plays out clearly in the customer space. I prefer a quiet ride, there

The real evidence of this is the news today of Ford (as far as I know last of the major car companies with presence in the US) incorporating CarPlay into their console software. I've heard the reason for the swift industry-wide uptake

AR done right inherently involves person-identifying interactions. All week almost everyone I know has made brand new real life friends while on their poké-travels. That's the draw here.

This is a great space to be in. Contrary to even the tone of the article, mainframes are still widely in use across a huge number of industries. Typically in industries slow to adopt major changes - but we're at a moment where the COBO

Sure, snappier on older hardware is a plus. But we've got a 4 year replacement cycle, and a slight increase in snappiness isn't what I'd call a major upgrade.
