I think it is the difference between a fine crafted adventure/narrative versus an open world sandbox for you to experiment in. I am very similar to you in that Ocarina of Time was a game that blew my mind and converted me from "ki

Energy independence would upend a lot of international trade markets and therefore geopolitical stability in some areas. If you don't need Saudi Arabia for oil, why do you care what happens there?

I really like Arc for a few of the reasons mentioned in the article: - It does the best job at managing multiple profiles that I've seen. You can have a single profile apply to multiple "spaces" or just one profile per space,

It's a poorly written article, and that's not the only example. But that first paragraph is brutal with multiple, consecutive descriptive clauses

I think it's also missing something pretty critical here - giving each employee $20 could be seen as kind of insulting, whereas combining each employee's $20 into a pizza party at least looks like a grander gesture

I think it's really about mobile computing. While the iPhone debuted in 2007, adoption didn't really hit a critical mass until the early 2010s with the iPhone 4. That was also the time that Android was ramping up with Verizon'

So many problems with this piece >> My computer is also not some old rubbish. It has an Intel Core2Duo CPU with 4 Gb RAM. It was top of the line in 2009. Just because you had a top of the line PC in 2009 does not disqualify it from be

I still find Windows to be pretty snappy and easy to use, but I completely agree with the author about all of the junk that comes with it (or is suggested to you in the Start Menu) and the pushing of ads and Bing results/news articles.

I think there is also a different issue - in a time where some people seem to be keenly aware of how much time they spend looking at screens and are making efforts to reduce that, the Metaverse (and any VR, really) wants to dial that up eve

Yeah pretty early on I realized that I didn’t like playing demanding games on it for a few reasons - screen quality, fan noise, and CPU performance. It’s mostly smaller indie games and emulation for me.

I feel like there is no vision for the future of Android there except chasing the iPhone. In the early part of the last decade, Android had its own identity which was part of the reason I used it. When it lost that, I moved to iPhone.
