Obviously not. You can fingerprint a user/device with a lot of information from your browser. You can detect obvious things like browser, IP address, OS, but also more unique details like battery level, screen size, etc.

The article EXPLICITLY states: > Of those, roughly 95 percent were identified by the company’s spam-fighting automation tools So yes, your hunch is right, but it's also mentioned in the article.

Value add is not always how people get paid. For instance, say a GOOG/FB/APPL driver drives 100+ engineers and saves them 100 hours/ride on commuting time. That doesn't mean that the driver reasonably deserves the cost o

Not sure if you read the article, but no one is talking about a higher standards for pay and benefits. You're literally making generic libertarian points. The only direct criticism is that they don't enforce their own safety guide

People said this on the previous DIY solar thread, but I wasn't sure where to exactly look for one. Could you link me to one that is a true sine wave? And how would I verify that this works for my electricity provider (PG&E in San

It's because the key takeaway with a newly 3.5mm jack-less iPhone 8 will be 1. no headphone jack and 2. 100% screen. Because they did this before on the iPhone 7, Apple execs are hoping that the key consumer takeaway for iPhone 8 will

But this isn't a problem with the industry itself, it's how you've set yourself up for poor matches. Why don't you title the position "Data Scientist, Senior/Chief/etc. (PhD req)." It'll cut thro

I totally agree. As of late, it's been gamed more often, as the article mentions. I saw Return to the Planet of the Apes because of the really high RT score, only to be sorely disappointed. I'll do my own vetting next time.

You are being a snob. There's no degree requirement to be called a data scientist. Even if there were, why would you exclude a B.S. or an M.S.? It's not like they're calling themselves a Doctor. You'd be stupid to market

There are a few things removed in your assumption: 1. Most prefer what they're familiar with. They grew up with the candies in their local stores so they might not be too eager to purchase foreign candies. 1. Candy is often a very impu

The article clearly addresses this point. It mentions that many often store their powerwalls outside of their home and have battery manage systems to monitor the health of their powerwalls (i.e. power down when too hot).
