This is an anecdotal and slightly off topic response to your note on cannabis tolerance. I am a frequent cannabis user and have been for a long time. While I no longer use psychoactive cannabis regularly (not in a fully legal state anymore)

My orange boy is an absolute sweetheart except for at 5am when he's hungry. He will sit right by my head and moan like he's dying until I get up. If I don't get up fast enough he'll start pawing at my toes.

My energy levels decrease as the day goes on, so I always do my workouts and best work early in the day. By evening I'm usually very burnt out. I like to vape CBD flowers, do gentle yoga, maybe take a short walk around the neighborhood

Wow, I thought it was just me. I've tried to "get into" twitter for the past decade, but I could never figure out how to read threads. I just gave up after a while because I was too proud to hunt for an explainer article some

My only life's goal is to become a hermit in the woods. Hopefully by the time I hit 45 I'll have saved enough to retire, uninstall VS Code forever, and enjoy the woods for the rest of my life :)

Those inexpensive places to live are inexpensive for a very good reason. They are often very unsafe and undesirable. Everywhere good in California has been claimed :-(

- Enormous population density. Anywhere even halfway desirable has an outrageous housing market, very high rents, a homeless problem, or all of the above. I will straight up never be able to afford a house in CA. Even with a ~very~ small in

Thank you for sharing your perspective! I'm not Christian, but I'm a person of faith. It's interesting to see how the different faiths approach suffering.

Empathy, also called compassion or karuna in Buddhism, is one of the most sublime mental states that exist. The trick is to learn how to experience compassion without also wounding yourself. This is what Buddhist practice teaches you how to
