I can see them having the ability to link a wireless controller for hardcore gaming like you can to Apple TV (and of course iOS devices). For everything else games could use hand tracking with a similar control scheme to Kinect and Wii atte

I doubt someone who’s such a small developer that they recently let their dev account expire would be considered for this. They’ll be targeting big and established developers not people who decide to spend $99 on a dev account so they can a

They did put this to their audience in a poll back in 2017[1] and the results overwhelmingly said to accept the car manufacturers invitation. The fact they asked publicly and run with full disclosure makes them far better than their peers i

For €2300 I assume you're looking at an M2 Pro model? Note that neither the M2 or M2 Pro Mac Mini currently have working display outputs[1] so no you should not. Apple changed the way the display outputs work in M2 so they're now

If you follow Hector Martin the lead Asahi dev he's encountered a number of bugs and race conditions in ARM linux systems which were never previously exposed because there weren't blazing fast ARM chips out there that could trigge

What makes you think they can’t manufacture it cheaper? I see this price as a way of earning a healthy profit off early adopters and allowing them time to get third party apps developed before they announce a Vision (non pro) for $1000-2000

In the pre Apple Silicon days the highest performance was always exclusive to the Mac Pro. It’s disappointing that Apple wasn’t able to make something better than an Ultra chip and the RAM limit for the new Mac Pro has decreased and is no d

I never mentioned a comparison with M1 Ultra. I was referring to a step above the Ultra series. From the moment the M2 chip was announced with increased RAM, CPU and graphics cores it was obvious all these benefits would come to Pro/Ma

Its true that Hector Martin said they didn't have the ability to add another interconnect like they did to double the Max to get Ultra. But that ignores the entirely different chip design T6500 which was assumed to be for the new Mac P

These are minor improvements over the M1 series in line with the other released M2 chips. For a 1 year delay to the original transition timeline and skipping the first generation it's reasonable to expect something more than the high e

So Apple wasn't able to increase performance (or even ram capacity) beyond the Ultra series chips. Thats disappointing. Particularly given they took an entire extra year to deliver it after the original Ultra release in March 2022.

The 2x1 wifi card are intel specific while the 2x0 cards are CPU agnostic. As long as you have a card model ending in 0 you're fine to use any CPU. As for why they did it I'd assume its slightly cheaper to build a 2x1 chip than a
