Bleak stuff I’ve noticed sometimes my wife puts on a playlist and it’s almost like weird covers or remixes I can’t quite put my finger on. Like it has a melody of a real song but the style / tempo / vocals are changed.

I’m sure more agentic coding loops will improve these inefficiencies

I timed how long it took to open Spotify and play a song on a $2500 Mac on low latency gigabit fiber internet. 15 seconds. Incredible stuff.

The Big AI Lab LLM Industrial Complex does seem a pull back to the era of thin clients & thick servers. You will own nothing.

Indeed. Guys who think women have it too easy speaks to how far things have come in a generation or two. Some don't understand how second class citizen their mothers & grandmothers were in their time. If you think 50% of the count

The mechanics of this are really bad and speak to the difference in regulations between ad exchanges & stock exchanges. Matt Levine had a good write-up of it - https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/newsletters/2026

This kind of stuff seems obvious. It's a big headwind to all of the "the world will become agentic, the bots will just go out and do stuff for you" hype. Anything involving money is an adversarial adaptive system. Besides GEO

A mature organization does not want the liability and if contacted by previous employer with evidence of these kinds of allegations, immediately gives said employees the boot.

I think I spend more time debugging my "smart home" (which is mostly used for turning lights on&off) than any time saved from using it. My dad had the old Radio Shack plug 'n power stuff when I was a kid and it .. just wo

Sure software moves fast, but it also moves slow. How many bad UX redesigns do major desktop/phone OSes need for their phone/text/mail/photos apps? We're at least 30 years into email apps for example, and yet the UX
