I'm using it and it's really well thought out. Worth noting also is autocxx [1], which is like bindgen, but generates cxx directives. Very clever too. It even allows owning C++ types on the stack. 1. https://github.com&

My experience is the exact opposite: most innovation I came across was the result of a in-person informal discussion. So yeah, YMMV

Given the capacity needed (TWhs), such basins are going to be massive, and will drown valleys.

With the rise of intermittent renewables, that’s not a surprise…

As the article mentions, on laptops, this is pretty clever. On desktops though... Perhaps real macs should be equipped with internal batteries to flush to disk in the case of power loss? I think I heard some enterprise motherboards/con

The biggest battery in the world is about 400MWh. That's the output of the Diablo Canyon power plant for 10 minutes. What is this mysterious storage that you speak of?

Which is why most countries turning to intermittent renewables are using gas as backup, and why without massive energy storage (TWh), we're screwed using those.

The killer feature over Docker for Mac would be memory ballooning. With this, there would be no need to specify a specific amount of memory, and the Linux VM would live happily alongside Mac OS. I know this is a limitation of Virtualisation

I wonder why it's not more broadly advertised as "let's turn this thing into a cold/flu" thanks to vaccination? To my profane mind, that seems like a simple message everybody understands, and kind of agrees to, at l

Let's put it another way: with Delta, the chances of you getting COVID are pretty high. If you do, the chances of you getting bad side effects may be low, but they're a few orders of magnitude higher than the vaccine. In this case
