Last time I did it, not much apart from some code reviews and discussions. I also filled out a minimal knowledge transfer doc and asked my team to put in questions that they thought I could answer for them. I had a project I had started bef

It's far more lucrative apparently to only sell their sports to regional sports networks and such. So while they make MLB.tv an option to fans, it really only works (in most cases) for fans who live outside of their favorite team'

I'd beg to differ. Especially in Japan, it's an incredibly popular sport. The problem is that MLB does not have a single clue how to market it, especially to younger fans. Not only that, but it continues to lose lifelong fans when

Technically it's not a strike. The current incident is all on the owners. A lockout wasn't something they had to do. Now that's not to say players wouldn't have done a strike at some point. But we should make sure the ap

I wish I had a good source, but from what I've seen firsthand (well, by following the Japanese car community and having friends in it) there's a pretty large export market for stolen cars. Either the full car is exported or people

I'll mostly +1 this as someone who got into iOS dev and went straight to SwiftUI for the past 2 months. There are some individual doc pages that seem to be auto-generated and a bit sparse when it comes to useful context. For instance,

Yep, that's fair. However at that point I'd say anything of note like that should really be recorded somewhere with a more long-term/permanent record, like in a wiki or similar, rather than ephemerally.

That's pretty crazy. Fortunately once I stopped relying on Previews things quieted down. I have trouble debugging some runtime issues, but that's my fault for not being very confident with Xcode's debugger and such rather tha

Many of the teams in MLB are more than affluent enough to afford players. They just choose not to. This is why there should be a salary floor as well as ceiling.

I haven't experienced this personally. My car was on a custom dyno E85 flex fuel tune with ecutek for a while and there were a couple times I brought it into a dealer. The only thing they noticed and cared about was the flex fuel kit,

Oh really? Dang, I guess my comment is only relevant to the first gen, then. We don't get any of those monitors or anything over network. Just OBD or canbus. That's a completely fair point. At least when it comes to OBD you can mo

You're definitely right. I suppose when I was referring to analog, I just meant capable of all operation without being connected to the Internet of Things.

I have a Subaru BRZ and it is probably the most analog car of their fleet. There's zero connectivity to the internet, the headunit is replaceable, etc. Everything works from the ECU, wiring harness, etc. In some ways it's too bad

Did the same with a dog (shiba inu) this past year. I think we're all the way at Series C funding at this point with the biweekly trips to the store for goodies.

Two years ago for SDE2 the first year comp was ~260k + 5% of RSU's at end of first year, second year was ~250k + 15% of RSU's. That's due to cash bonus (base was around 180k). 3rd and 4th years no bonus, but 40/40 RSU ve

This is really cool. I'm currently working on an iPhone app for helping save favorite and newly discovered routes. Wish I had the know-how to add a feature like this haha. I'm just using Apple Maps for my stuff. Nice work! :)

For the past month and a half or so I've been learning Swift/SwiftUI and developing an iOS app. I intend to sell it since I know there's a niche market for it. However, I don't know that I'll get many sales and I&#x

Yeah, I went through 4 or 5 PS3's. Fortunately my PS4 stood the test of time, and we'll see how my PS5 does. As much as I enjoyed gaming during the PS3 era, it really had some almost impossible to ignore challenges.

Your comment is akin to "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" I highly doubt there's (much of) a market looking to buy AirTags without already owning the pre-requisite Apple hardware.

Do you have the swap project posted anywhere? Would love to follow. I'm more in favor of a K-swap if anything but I've seen videos of an FD3S with some electric motor and it seemed pretty rad; I lack the details for it, though.

Similar thing here but with an alarm tone. The tone I used to get when paged while previously working for a FAANG seems to also be used for some function at a grocery store I frequent. So my BPM does the same jump every time I hear it.
