The people who work in these companies should be absolutely shunned and black listed from laundering their past by taking up a role at any major tech firm. The people who work at NSO and companies like this are a stain on the whole tech ind

True. I've been burnt a few times by bad CEOs/co-founders. Where I did my part (to build out the product) but they screwed up theirs. Next time a non-technical founder pitches me to come on board and do all the actual work then I&

The polarity is the result of asking the question. It's not a presumption. Any basic knowledge of CIA history would conclude that they're a complete geopolitical and moral liability. Must be worth it to some maniacs though.

This is a pretty sad state of affairs. Pidgin has been around for ages. I used to use it on my n900 back in the day - that and gpodder really opened my eyes to how powerful open source could be at a young age. How do we solve this potential

The plight and occupation of Gaza isn't a technical curiosity. The answer is that there's a campaign of genocide and dehumanisation going on that bleeds into all aspects of life, that's why.

closed vs open is a false dichotomy imo. There is a middle ground that makes it worth maintainers' time, eventually. Thankfully/luckily I've stumbled upon a good balance with my project.

Quite insane what lengths an in-group will go to justify their own horrible actions. You could argue that despite the fall of the Ottomans and the war of independence, modern Turks have nothing to do with the perpetrators of this genocide;

Well, just because it's not breaking laws doesn't mean the use of tax havens has positive benefits for society which ,I guess, is the point of these ICIJ investigations - to eventually change laws.
