Despite Hayden being a contemptible goon, liveleak is an institution which now leaves a void. Interesting to see what will take it's place in the interZeitgeist.

Ok I will put myself in your hypothetical. If there was a fire in the cockpit of my cessna, I would try my best to suppress the fire and instruct the other pilot to make a mayday call. Communication becomes a bit higher priority when the si

Wait so if the products actually worked as expected then he would not have been caught/found guilty? Why is Adam Neumann not also facing prison time for leasing his own building/selling "we" to wework?

During pilot training, you're taught to use the axiom when time is slim and there's a lot to do. There's no way to aviate for 6 hours straight on an airliner and not have time to communicate. The mayday call takes all of 10 s

OP mentions they used a throwaway to prevent this "smack talk" from affecting any of his future YC prospects. I don't think YC management/judges are that petty, or at least I hope they aren't.

Ha I get it. The way I look at it is, I have chosen my security sin and that's Google. I turn off ad settings, pay for GSuite, YT premium and Google one, have ad block/ad guard everywhere and buy their nest home products. Smaller

As an early stage investor do you outright reject "open source" projects or would you consider one that's already making some money? I've never considered putting it this way but I guess you could say the project I maint

There are other companies that you can sell invoices to to get cash instantly that will recoup the money from the client or sell the debt on to someone else (e.g marketfinance.com). Pipe is doing a similar thing but their threshold is $100k

Cannot argue with any of the points brought up by the author at all. That being said, "main" is a better name for that branch, especially for people new to VCS. The change would've been worthwhile on its own without the expec

Big Oil will be replaced with Big ML. The lobbyists will erode our liberties after rinsing our planet. They will make cutesy ads tricking the masses into trusting the models and anyone using protection online will be branded a terrorist.
